ABQ ART STUDIO HAS GONE ALOHA! We've moved to Hawaii, and we're now Aloha, Artisans! Studio.....LaRue Claros, portrait artist I have enjoyed painting portraits for over thirty years.  A portrait should convey much more than physical features so that the viewer feels they know the subject even without having met him or her in person.   I paint portraits of friends, children, interesting people I see on the street - but I paint more than portraits - take a look at my gallery to see what I've been up to! NEW ARTWORK

She Who Watches (under construction)

In the Scenic Columbia Gorge is a pictograph made by ancient Native Americans of "She Who Watches."  This painting features the pictograph with my interpretation of the human counterpart seated in front.  I will post a photo of the finished painting soon.
